Why the Kirkpatrick wire lubrication system is safer for your team

September 15, 2017Kirkpatrickst0tt_@dm1n

Having created the world’s first successful wire rope lubrication system in 1982, using their specific requirements, it’s no surprise the Kirkpatrick’s reputation and experience surpasses those of other similar products.

When the Kirkpatrick Wire Rope Lubrication Systems were first created, they were primarily used to maintain cranes load lines, pendants and boom hoist cables. Today, the systems work best for wire rope and cable lubrication and cleaning.

With Kirkpatrick’s system, you can quickly and efficiently scrape off any product built-up and grit on any surface and groove patterns of your wire rope in only a single application. This could mean saving great deals of effort and time on your end. That’s not all – below we list down what makes the Kirkpatrick system much safer and beneficial for your team.

Removes personal contact with the rope

Manual lubrication of wire ropes isn’t only messy, it’s also a tough, time-consuming task that can be hazardous not only to your health but to the environment as well.

Using innovative designs, the Kirkpatrick systems are intended to perform the job for you.

Designed to apply self-penetrating lubricants, the systems are capable of applying the required coatings – may it be light, medium or heavy – on any type of wire rope. The pump control allows you to adjust the thickness of the coating while ensuring it lubricates wire strands both internally and externally.

Eliminates safety concerns

By getting rid of manual greasing, your team can remove any safety hazards caused by leakage and cluttered working areas. Working around the wire rope becomes unnecessary, too. With the system doing the job for your team, you’re not only lowering incidents of injury onsite, you’re also reducing lubricant waste and environmental contamination.

If done properly, the Kirkpatrick’s system can improve cleanliness in your workplace, your team’s wellbeing, and the environmental health in general.

Increases productivity

The Kirkpatrick’s systems can make lubrication and cleaning of your wire rope quick and easy. With its heavy-duty, lightweight aluminum lubrication collar, which you can take wherever possible, you can get rid of the slow, difficult process of manual lubrication while getting desirable results at the same time.

The lubrication collars can accommodate different wire rope diameters – ranging anywhere from 48mm to 110mm – at high speeds per hour, which means faster cleaning rate.

Additionally, using a high pressure applicator that can penetrate through the core of any wire rope, you can be certain that your wire rope undergoes intensive lubrication and cleaning – without you having to come in close contact with the wire rope itself.

Extends the life of wire rope

The Kirkpatrick Wire Rope Lubrication Systems offer the best solution when it comes to extending the operational life of your wire rope. The systems can access all lubrication points down to the core of every strand for long lasting protection. This displaces moisture and water from the rope, and as a result, stops rust and corrosion from occurring.

Plus, all systems come with heavy duty storage cases approved by military and law enforcement. So you don’t have to worry how to safely store the systems.
